founded in 1965, it is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It is a key university of Guangdong Province with distinctive international characteristics. Its predecessor is Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Studies and Guangzhou Institute of foreign trade. It is an important base for international talent training, foreign language and culture, foreign economy and trade and international strategic research in South China. The state has built a high-level university public graduate program, a national college students' cultural quality education base, and a demonstration base for the Ministry of education to study in China Guangdong Province's "key discipline construction of high-level universities" and the collective action plan for student exchange of Asian universities (Asian campus plan).
